Joey Bada$$ Rises To Fame As A Lyricist

     Known for his raw 90's style and lyricism, Joey Bada$$ is one of the artists that will be a threat in the music industry within a short period of time. Raised in Bed-Stuy, Joey Bada$$ is a co-founder of Pro Era. On the rise to stardom, Bada$$ released three mixtapes from 1999 to 2013. The debut studio album B4.DA.$$ debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200, selling 53,990 copies in the first week in the United States. This album was released on his birthday January 20, 2015, in North America and United Kingdom under the label Cinematic Music Group and Relentless Records. Later that year, he collaborated with UK indie rock band Glass Animals, on the single titled "Lose Control". This month, Bada$$ debuted as an actor in the second season of the TV series Mr. Robot where he was cast in the recurring role of Leon who is a close friend of Elliot from the neighborhood.
