Drake Breaks Record With 100 Songs in the Billboard Charts

It has been a great year in the Hip Hop culture, Canadian rapper Drake has just broken the record for having the total of 100 songs in the Billboard charts. Even though it took 50 years for this to happen, this is the first time in history that a rapper have achieved this accomplishment. Drizzy's debut appearance on the Hot 100 was in 2009 with his debut single, “Best I Ever Had.”

By always being present in the media, this artist shows consistency. Even though you might night not like every song, the point is you're still going to hear him. Who would of known that a kid from Degrassi would be Young Money's major recording artist, #Drake has reached a #Billboard milestone with having 100 songs on the #Hot100 charts. Drizzy Drake is the 4th artist to have at least 100 entries on these chart. With 92 songs entered in the charts, 8 new entries will be debuted on the Hot 100, all from his collaborative effort with #Future.

The #YoungMoney artist has surpassed #JamesBrown with 91; #JayZ with 83 and #ChrisBrown with 73. From 0 to 100, he still has a little way to go to catch up with Young Money's CEO, #LilWayne, which has 127 Hot 100 entries. According to Nielsen Music, Drake has tied the record with the #Beatles that stood unmatched for 51 years. 14 songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100, equaled the 14 titles that Pop's most known musicians placed on the Hot 100 dated back to April 11, 1964. Now since Drake is the first rapper to top the Billboard Artist 100 chart, the Hip-Hop trend has taken a strong hold to the music industry.
