Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs aka P. Diddy, Hip Hop's most known veteran of the 22-year-old music powerhouse Bad Boy Entertainment has teamed with Epic Records, a Sony Music company. This corporate statement was announced on October 5th. The exclusive partnership includes distribution of two forthcoming Puff Daddy albums and provides a foundation for #BadBoy artists covering customary label services including #promotion, #marketing, #sales and #distribution.
Just to celebrate the signing of this big deal, Puff Daddy will be performing some of his freshest hits at the #BETHipHopAwards on Oct. 13 in Atlanta (#ATL).

By Bad Boy entering to the Sony conglomeration following similar agreements with Warner Music Group, Interscope Records and Arista Records, just finalizes that the top major music distribution companies has merged.

“Sean 'Diddy' Combs aka Puff Daddy and I have been musical collaborators since the 1990s, when we both ran independent record labels. ... Over the years, we not only enjoyed incredible success together, but we also became lifelong friends. Today, of course, Puffy is truly in a league all his own, continuing to influence culture and ignite musical revolutions time and time again. He’s a true innovator and I could not be more excited to join forces once again.” Reid stated to the Billboards.

The legendary label, Arista was formerly headed by L.A. Reid, who founded R&B powerhosue LaFace Records with Peebles. As the chairman and CEO of Epic Records sees this decision as a full rotation in the music industry. Mr. Reid has worked with so many artists over the decades like Babyface, TLC, OutKast, Goodie Mobb, Toni Braxton, Ciara, Pink, Kenny Lattimore & much more.

As Puffy said calmly, "I have known L.A. Reid since the very beginning and together we have enjoyed countless successes over our long friendship". Then continued with, "To now work with L.A. in this capacity feels more like a homecoming than a new beginning. Not only is he a fearless and smart businessman, he believes in artists and understands music better than anyone. He embodies hard work and true success, evident in all of his endeavors. To collaborate with L.A. Reid is to collaborate with the very best.”

Mr. Combs will be bringing the president of Bad Boy Entertainment, Harve Pierre on the Epic Records conquest to ELITE FAME. Pierre has been with the company since its inception in 1993. Now it is 23 years later, the Bad Boy empire has gained mass territory. Just think about it, Warner Music Group is largest American-owned music conglomerate in the world and Sony is one of the leading manufacturers of electronic products; merged with Interscope (Founded in 1990 by Jimmy Iovine and Ted Field.), a $20 million joint venture with Time Warner's Atlantic Records and child company of Universial Music Group along with Arista Records, a Sony Music Entertainment owned company (RCA Music Group until 2011; Founded in 1974 by Clive Davis, who formerly worked for CBS Records).
