Fire Storm In California
More than 1,100 homes, businesses and other buildings have burned and at least two people are dead in wildfires burning across L.A. County, making this one of the most destructive firestorms to hit the region in memory.

Firefighters battled multiple blazes overnight as whipping winds, with gusts up to 100 mph, fueled three major wildfires. There were 3 areas that got hit this morning. In Palisades, more than 15,800 acres and numerous homes, businesses and landmarks were burned in Pacific Palisades and westward along Pacific Coast Highway, toward Malibu. In Eaton, more than 10,000 acres and many structures were burned in Altadena and Pasadena. In hurst, Burned around 700 acres were burned in the area around Sylmar.
L.A. officials admit firefighters were overwhelmed and outgunned by deadly firestorms
Local fire officials acknowledged Wednesday that they were overwhelmed by the power and size of the three major fires burning in Los Angeles County and that crews and resources were taxed to the extreme.
Firefighters were heard on emergency radios requesting additional support and crews, L.A. County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone acknowledged Wednesday, admitting there was simply not enough manpower for an emergency of this size.
